Catch Miyazaki, Spirit of Nature the official film selection of the 2024 Venice International Film Festival. The documentary explores the life and influential works of Japanese director and animator, Hayao Miyazaki.
Through film excerpts and rare Japanese television archives, the film examines Miyazaki’s body of works and its profound relationship with the natural world and humanity. Exclusive interviews with contemporary scholars such as philosopher, Timonthy Morton, anthropologist, Philippe Descola, and longtime producer and friend, Toshio Suzuki reveal more about this enigmatic and passionate animator, and his creative process.
